MICRONEEDLING +
with Skin Boosters & PRP/PRF
Microneedling, also referred to as collagen induction therapy, involves using super-fine needles to create hundreds of tiny, invisible puncture wounds in the top layer of the skin. These wounds are called micro-injuries, and the micro-injuries that are created with microneedling stimulate the body’s innate wound-healing processes
The microneedling pen uses sterile, individually-sealed, disposable needle cartridges for optimal patient safety and comfort. Every microneedle tip is actually made up of 12 smaller needles, which use proprietary technology to penetrate vertically into the skin. This creates small, micro-skin channels, while stimulating the skin’s natural ability to heal itself and increasing the production of new collagen — which is the formation of strong, insoluble fibers that serve as connective tissue between cells.
It is important to discontinue use of Retin A, Retinols, Vitamin A creams and other topic medications for 3-5 days before your micro needling treatment.
During the skin’s healing process, your body produces fresh collagen to replace the damaged collagen, which rejuvenates your skin by increasing your body’s natural production of collagen and elastin. This may result in an overall improvement in the texture and tightness of your skin by “filling in the lines,” and removing the wrinkles, scars, and stretch marks.
PRP microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure wherein a device rolls tiny needles over the skin to create microscopic channels, otherwise known as micro-injuries. This triggers the body's natural healing response, which restores the skin's appearance and fights the visible signs of aging.
PRP, which stands for platelet-rich plasma, is thought to make microneedling more effective. It’s commonly believed that either procedure on its own is good, but together they’re the holy grail.
PRP comes from your own blood, which is spun in a centrifuge and separated out so that it can be collected and applied topically to the skin. The PRP platelets are similar to stem cells and contain hundreds of growth “factors,” which promote clotting, cell growth and wound healing, and are especially beneficial in tightening the skin on the face.
Your comfort is our top priority, so we’ll give you a topical numbing agent in advance of your treatment. We also apply a gel to the skin so the device can glide smoothly throughout the procedure. Treatment times vary depending on the size of the treatment area, but typically take less than an hour. You should be able to resume your normal routine right away.
